Jane Chow is a Los Angeles-based writer-director from Hong Kong. She won the 2021 Deutsche Bank Frieze Los Angeles Audience Award for her film “Sorry for the Inconvenience”, which was created with the support of Endeavor Content and Ghetto Film School. The film premiered on Girls in Film and NoBudge, with Sundance filmmaker Kentucker Audley writing, “Chow’s film delivers natural richness with lovely visuals and sweet-natured performances.”
Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Jane brings her global perspective to every project, having led productions in Hong Kong, Berlin, Los Angeles, and New York. Her award-winning international web series, “Pineapple”, screened at numerous film festivals including the Oscar-qualifying Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival and Geena Davis’ Bentonville Film Festival.
After graduating from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Film & TV Production, Jane directed and edited branded content for major clients including Tinder, TikTok, and the Biden-Harris campaign, as well as music videos for artists mxmtoon and Tiffany Day. Her work has been featured on Variety, Financial Times, Los Angeles Magazine, Booooooom TV, NME, shots, and more. Currently, Jane is a video director at Synthesis.
